Bringing Water To The Weary - GOOD News!

February’s severe winter storm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area left residents in need of basic necessities into March. After the flooding of their church was dealt with, Dr. Renee Denise Fowler, Pastor of Destiny Pointe Christian Center reached out to the United Way for help to support her community.

The United Way contacted the Goodness Project after one of our partners, Christ Chapel let them know about the Goodness Project.  What a shock when Dr. Renee found out that her friend from Christian Women in Media, Rachelle Fletcher was a co-founder and her point of contact with The Goodness Project!

Bringing Water And Other Supplies To The Weary

The Goodness Project provided a load of water and several pallets of wipes for families who were weary already, struggling from loss of jobs and the economy, due to COVID-19. Families are still trying to put their houses back together from all the flooding and loss of power.

Dr. Renee Denise Fowler said,

“We were so abundantly blessed by the connection with The Goodness Project.  As a result, we were able to touch the lives of so many on Saturday. with the wipes and water provided. The collaborations and partnerships between all of us worked so well together. And the people we served were truly grateful and appreciated.

Thank you so much again. on behalf of us all at Destiny Pointe Christian Center, Mona’s Heart Outreach, Destiny Empowerment Enterprises, Inc., And adding the other collaborative partners like Tarrant Area Food Bank, and now The Goodness Project, as well as United Way – it made Saturday simply amazing!”
