Read below to see some of the amazing things that have happened in our Buffalo, NY location!
As we celebrate Christmas and the birth of our Savior, the team at The Goodness Project is also taking time to reflect on what God has done for His glory in 2021.
Our Buffalo location had a very busy year! Despite the challenges of COVID-19, our Western New York crew blessed and ministered to needy families all year long. Here are a few highlights of how God worked in the lives of His children this year.
Back in the spring, The Goodness Project of Western New York again partnered with Snuggled in Love to provide Easter baskets to over 110 special needs children and their siblings. The baskets were full of candy, toys, and stuffed animals as a blessing to these dear kids and their families. As you can see from the looks on these childrens’ faces, nothing helps celebrate the resurrection of Jesus like gift-giving and tasty food!
Buffalo bringing the blessings!
Spring also brought new shipments of summertime products to be donated. As you know, The Goodness Project not only provides necessary supplies, products, and food directly to people in need, we also provide large quantities of essential items to other charities who are doing amazing support work in their communities. We were able to bless those around us with top-quality, new seasonal items.
As much of the nation returned to celebrating National Night Out in August, The Goodness Project once again partnered with a local church to support communities coming together in unity. Pastor Al and his team from Greater Royal Church came by and filled up two full truckloads of product and candy to give out to neighbors. Not only is Pastor Al and his church a blessing to us, they are a blessing to all!
As the school year came to a close, we were once again reminded of the selfless sacrifices made by teachers in New York, and particularly in Lackawanna. Not only did teachers come out and volunteer at The Goodness Project, they regularly visit our Resource Center to obtain essential items for their students including school supplies, food, classroom decorations, and clothing.
Buffalo has become known nationwide for its generosity and is known as “The City of Good Neighbors.” The Goodness Project of Western New York affirms that nickname and is amazed at how communities come together to serve one another. We continue to support needy families and a large number of charities during the holiday season, and we look forward to how God will use this ministry to further His kingdom in 2021!
