Helping Abused and Neglected Children - DFW GOOD News!

Nothing feels better than helping little ones, especially when you’re helping abused and neglected children in the DFW area.

Margaret Cahn from Gateway church, volunteer Magda Blauth and Hannah Ginn from The Goodness Project (TGP) teamed up with Christ’s Haven For Children out of Keller Texas to provide summer items to children who have faced abuse and neglect.

Christs Haven provides a trauma-informed, family-based model of care encouraging children and teens to heal from their past abuse and neglect to envision and embrace a bright future.

Getting Ready For Summer Fun!

At the event, children were able to come into The Goodness Project warehouse and pick out summer items like shorts, t-shirts, swimsuits, shoes & fun things for the pool. The older girls were also able to get some makeup and jewelry.

They had a BLAST picking out which stuffed animal they wanted to take home and loved being able to pick out their own clothes and find items that fit their personality.

Christs Haven For Children DFW

THEIR MISSION:

Christ’s Haven for Children exists to care for children who have faced impossible circumstances through no fault of their own. We hope you are compelled to extend your hand.

THEIR MOTIVATOR:

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Psalm 82:3

As you can see, our two organizations are run with the same heart!

The TGP staff would like to offer BIG THANKS to one of the awesome volunteers, Magda for going above and beyond in helping us get set up, for bringing in goodie bags with healthy snacks for the kids, as well as all of the stuffed animals.

We want to thank you for partnering with us to provide help and hope to families in crisis!
