Partner Spotlight: Kim Jones of WNY - GOOD News!

We need more people like Kim Jones!

The Goodness Project of Western New York is honored to partner with Kim Jones from The Buffalo Visual and Performing Arts Academy. It’s people like Kim who make Western New York a better place to live!

Family Financial Literacy Program

Kim helped lead the Family Financial Literacy Program. This 6-week program facilitated by Key Bank, taught the participants financial strategies and how to make wise choices as they shop for their families.

The course concluded with a trip to The Goodness Project of WNY resource center allowing participants to put into practice what they learned in the program with the guidance of instructors onsite.

The course was so successful it will be offered again to more families in the district.

Additionally, our partnership with Ms. Jones has also helped her to meet the immediate needs of several families in the district as she continues to reach out and impact the lives of children and families in Buffalo.

Kim Jones Is An Award-Winning Social Worker

Friends For A Better Buffalo announced finalists for the 2021 Excellence In Education Awards, which honors principals, teachers, and support
staff for their work inside and outside the classroom.

On Sunday, May 2nd at 8pm, the Awards were telecast on WBBZ-TV (Channels 67 and 5) and
simultaneously via the Excellence In Education Awards Buffalo Facebook Page where Kim Jones was announced as the 2021 Social Worker of The Year for all Buffalo, private, public and charter schools.
