Bringing hope to families facing disaster - DFW GOOD News!

On September 3rd, coastal Louisiana was hit by yet another major hurricane.  Read how The Goodness Project partnered with a local church to provide hope to families facing disaster in Louisiana.

Bringing Hope To Families Facing Disaster

For decades, The Goodness Project has responded to major disasters across the U.S. and Canada with food, clothing, hygiene items, and other necessary items for suffering people.  Some of our best efforts have been in conjunction with local churches.

Volunteers from Gateway Church building the food boxes

When Hurricane Ida struck coastal Louisiana this past September, Gateway Church sprung into action to help those impacted.  After connecting with TGP, Gateway Church sent a large team of volunteers to h TGP’s headquarters in Ft. Worth, TX to prep food boxes.

Though both TGP and Gateway, will support Louisiana for some time, the first load of 240 food boxes will be delivered to the New Wine Fellowship Church in LaPlace, Louisiana.

Sending out goodness to bring hope to families

The boxes contain various items including canned goods, cookies, cereal, protein bars, and other non-perishable foods. These large boxes are going to serve more than 350 people.

Please continue to pray for this area of Louisiana. To help bring hope to families in Louisiana, give a one-time or monthly donation here.

Gateway Church is a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church founded in 2000 by Pastor Robert Morris. Today we meet as one church in many locations with more than 100,000 people attending each weekend.

We’re all about people because God is all about people. One of the ways we express our love for Him is through our love for people, and we do this by helping people who come to Gateway grow in their relationship with the Lord.

The Goodness Project is proud to partner with Gateway Church.
