Hurricane Laura, a category 4 storm devastated Lake Charles killing at least 28 people and bringing severe flooding to the city of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The storm knocked out power for over 615,000 people.
Thankfully, when Disaster strikes, The Goodness Project is there to help churches, families, and communities to pick up the pieces.
Co-Founder Bill Fletcher and Mitt Morgan were thrilled to deliver these resources and find out how TGP can further help in the coming months because it takes that long… even years to help rebuild a city.
Over 2000 families received vital resources and were blessed with the support provided by The Goodness Project, enabling Living Word Christian Center and 1st Baptist DeQuincy to facilitate distribution of supplies, so that families would know they were loved and cared for in these difficult times.
One load was graciously sponsored by the generous 121 Community Church; a key TGP DFW Church Partner. With TGP, their partners, Lake Charles churches, and help from countless volunteers, Lake Charles, was able to rebuild. What a beautiful thing to see the body of Christ coming together to bring the most needed resources to a city that was left in shambles.
All of this is thanks to your generous support and volunteer work!
We want to thank you for partnering with us to provide help and hope to families in crisis!
