GIVE And Help Bring Peace To Israel

Israel was rocked with grief last week as 45 people lost their lives during the “Lag B’Omer” celebrations on the 33rd day of the Omer. The celebrations of that particular day are not biblical but the tragedy affects Israel as a nation, and it reminds us how short and fragile life is. It was there that 45 Israelis were crushed to death and over 150 were injured in the tragic event this year, leaving many rescue workers traumatized by what they saw and experienced.

“They couldn’t carry on, they were simply broken,” a veteran paramedic told the Times of Israel. “With so many dead people in the same place, on top of each other, it brought up traumas among our people. Some of them said it prompted associations of the Holocaust, seeing hats and shoes that had come off people.”

God established the tradition of counting the 50 days between Passover and Pentecost (which is where the name “Pentecost” comes from) which means we have just one more week till Pentecost, or Shavuot in Hebrew, meaning “weeks”. As we count down each day in God’s calendar, we are more conscious of time passing.

As each day passes, we are anxiously awaiting for the country to open back up so that we can return there to meet with our team, the Mayors of the cities and visit the people we’ve been able to give the resources to.

Until then, we wanted to ask you a huge favor. Would you pray for the people of Israel?

We were able to send 7 containers full of resources last summer and have shared the inspiring stories of the Holocaust survivors giving toys to the children at the Eshkol border, the miracle of God providing Kohler handrails to the elderly in Jerusalem, the ongoing projects with all the Mayors of each city to respond when disaster strikes. Those resources are valued at over 3 million dollars and we give God all the glory that He made a way to get those resources into the hands of the precious Israeli people.

Would you pray about giving a gift to support Israel? We have an audacious goal to raise 1 million dollars this year. We must be prepared and ready to give, and, as you know, it takes the army of the Lord to go forth in praise before the battle. When you give a gift of any size, you’re sending the praise of our God to our brothers and sisters there.

Any time there’s a disaster or crisis, we get a call from our team and they immediately respond with toys and other needed resources for the people. Would you join your faith with ours to help us raise the funds needed to continue this mission? Time is of essence and the children and families there are in a constant state of stress wondering when the next bomb or disaster will strike. We have an incredible opportunity to bring them hope and peace in these times.
