We are made to be in relationships with one another, and those relationships form communities that have a positive impact on other communities. That’s how The Goodness Project spreads – through you! This is why I’m grateful for one of the most powerful themes of Christmas is the idea of New Beginnings! God Himself came to earth as a baby, and His birth inaugurated His Kingdom here on earth.
New Beginnings Church
So not only does Christmas remind us that Jesus is our Conquering King, but it also shows us that His mercies are new every morning. Though our sin constantly reminds us of our need for a Savior, our Savior loves new beginnings! Through Christ, we have victory over sin and death, and through Christ, we can, in fact, embrace life anew each day.
It is appropriate, then, that one of our most recent church partners in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is called New Beginnings! Pastored by Terry and Liz Huch, New Beginnings is a diverse, multi-ethnic congregation that cares deeply about our friends in Israel and around the world, and also cares deeply for their local community and neighborhoods.
Volunteers from New Beginnings came to The Goodness Project warehouse in Ft. Worth on December 11th to help our team prepare and sort boxes of food to distribute this Christmas season. The Goodness Project also donated four pallets of new toys to New Beginnings. The church is hosting a community Christmas toy drive event on December 18th and will distribute toys to families in need here in the DFW area.
As we report in almost every newsletter, The Goodness Project is successful in reaching and ministering to hurting families primarily because of our deep relationships with other nonprofits and churches. By working together, we have a greater impact. Thank you for supporting this unifying effort this Christmas season!
